Chouchou
Parisian exploration with festive and elegant brilliance
Address
11 Rue du Helder
75009 PARIS
Type
Hôtel, Bar, Restaurant
Le Chouchou is a Parisian lifestyle destination that celebrates the festive, quirky, artistic, and lively spirit of French culture. It's a blend of hotel, marketplace, bar, spa, and meeting rooms, suitable for work, dining, singing, drinking, swimming, and even sleeping.
The entrance is through an indoor terrace that opens onto the street lined with marketplace stands offering local products from land and sea. The atmosphere is set by awnings and garlands.
As you step through the interior doors, you discover a large central bar under a large glass roof, a multifunctional space for socializing, dining, working, and events. It evokes the atmosphere of the guinguettes on the banks of the Marne River, with a touch of modernity in the landscaping, Thonet chairs, indoor/outdoor benches, and zinc dance floor.
To access the hotel area, a corridor of mirrors creates an infinite effect before reaching the lobby/boutique. The striped marine carpeting marks the transition between the ground floor, a place for living, and the intimate rooms.
The rooms combine classic Parisian and French decoration elements such as moldings, herringbone parquet, velvet, and tiled faience. However, these elements are modernized by artistic works, a garland chandelier, and creative use of mirrors in the bathroom.
